Assistance The Masonic Assistance Program is available to qualifying Masons, their wives, their widows, and their mothers, and to qualifying members of the Order of the Eastern Star. Designed as a means of caring for the many senior citizens who have supported the values and ideals of Freemasonry, the program provides financial assistance to people living in the Michigan Masonic Home. Residents qualifying for the Masonic Assistance Program receive the following benefits:
In order to qualify for the Masonic Assistance Program, an affiliated resident of the Michigan Masonic Home must, at a minimum, meet the following criteria:
Prospective residents who anticipate a need for the Masonic Assistance Program should contact Masonic Pathways' Finance Department prior to scheduling a move. Upon admission, new residents are required to pay thirty days in advance or be pre-qualified for the Masonic Assistance Program. The Masonic Assistance Program does not cover the cost of residency in the Masonic Village Estates or the Jack F. Sanders Health Care Center. Residents of the Jack F. Sanders Health Care Center who are in need of financial assistance may apply for Medicaid. |
